Hey, I’m Carey
…I believe that brilliant, big-hearted women deserve more than just survival mode.
For a long time, I was a shape-shifter. I got very good at becoming who I thought I needed to be — blending in, smoothing things over, making myself smaller to keep things steady. I wasn’t chasing perfection. I was trying to stay safe. Trying to make life work in a world that often felt hostile to a brain like mine (hello, neurodiversity).
And somewhere in all that adapting, I lost touch with myself.
Like so many of the women I work with now, I looked fine on the outside — but inside, I was scattered, exhausted, and felt trapped in a pattern of behaviours and emotions. I was creatively blocked. I couldn’t find my voice, and I didn’t know how to begin again.
The turning point didn’t come from working harder. It came when I stopped trying to think my way out of everything and started, to feel, embody and equip myself with tools I could actually use in real life.
I began making time for what matters, learning how to rest without guilt, started setting real boundaries, speak up without spiralling, and trust myself even when things felt uncertain.
I began to integrate what I knew in my head into how I actually lived — through embodiment, creativity, practice, and small daily choices.
Slowly, I started building a life that felt like more like home. One I could actually live in and not just survive through.
"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are."
Carl Jung
Why Do I Do This Work?
Because too many women are taught to doubt their inner voice. To silence their creativity. To shape themselves around everyone else’s needs and what society tells us we should be.
Because I also know what it’s like to not fit the system — to carry trauma, to feel unequipped by your past, and to realise that the life you want won’t be handed to you.
At some point, we have to take responsibility for our own path — even when it’s unknown, scary, misunderstood… or doesn’t look like anyone else’s.
This work is a way forward. It creates the kind of self-trust that stays with you, even when life gets messy.
My approach blends real-world tools with deep presence and care. It is designed to help you move from insight to integration, and from burnout to steady momentum.
I’m a qualified coach, with training that blends Strengths-Based Coaching, Transactional Analysis, NLP, and mindfulness. I also bring nearly two decades of studying yoga and the mind-body connection, which continues to shape how I understand emotion, energy, and change. Alongside this, I’ve spent over 20 years in creative practice — a thread that informs how I listen, reflect, and help others reconnect with their own inner voice.
But more than anything, I bring lived experience — of coming undone, getting curious, and learning how to move through life with clarity, softness, and self-respect.

Hi, I’m Carey-Belle, but most people just call me Carey.
I grew up in the Peak District, did a long stint in London chasing ambition and overpriced coffee, and now live in South Devon with my husband, two small humans, and a lot more sea air. These days life looks like as much time in nature as my hay-fever will allow and and a deep, committed relationship with oat milk.
One of my favourite reminders comes from Annie Dillard: “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” So I try to fill my days with things like yoga in my pyjamas, making too many notes on my phone, reading five books at once, writing bad poetry, or dancing in the kitchen with my kids while something burns slightly in the oven.
I’ve always been obsessed with stories — the ones we read, the ones we watch, and especially the ones we live. I trained at drama school, worked as a theatre director and script editor, and even as a dyslexic bookworm, words have always felt like home.
Stories shape everything: how we see ourselves, how we understand others, what we believe is possible. They’re how we make sense of the human condition.
And coaching, to me, is about gently rewriting the stories that no longer serve — so you can live the one that does.
I bring curiosity, care, and a love of the human experience to every session. If you’re ready to see yourself differently and start living a story that actually fits, I’d love to hear from you.
Some of my values that shape my work…
Compassion
Being kind to yourself is the cornerstone of lasting change. Every step of your journey will be approached with patience and understanding, knowing that real growth comes when we nurture ourselves as we step out of our comfort zone.
Presence
The present moment is where transformation begins. I’ll help you tap into the here and now, so you can make decisions from a place of calm, clarity, and awareness—leaving behind stress and distraction.
Connection
True growth flourishes when we connect deeply—with ourselves and with others. Through honest conversations, we’ll create a space where you can be your most authentic self, free from fear or judgment.
Courage
It takes courage to step into your true self and take bold, decisive action. Together, we’ll navigate your challenges with confidence, knowing that every step forward—no matter how small—is a victory.
