When Everything Feels Like Too Much — Even the Good Stuff
Ever had a quiet evening to yourself and instead of relaxing, your brain decides to spiral?
Or maybe something lovely happens, a new idea, a sweet message, an exciting opportunity and instead of feeling lit up, you just… shut down a little.
It’s not that you’re unhappy. Life might even be good. But still, everything feels like a lot.
This post is for that version of you — the one with too many tabs open in your head and your life.
The Quiet Kind of Overwhelm
This kind of overwhelm isn’t loud or dramatic.
It’s subtle. Background noise. A slow hum of too much.
It can look like:
Feeling excited and exhausted at the same time
Having ideas, but no bandwidth to start
Scrolling or zoning out the moment you get time to yourself
Not being behind — but somehow still feeling late
Even good things take energy.
Newness, even the aligned, dreamy kind asks something of your system.
And if you’re someone who feels deeply or carries invisible emotional weight (hi, my people), then even joy can tip you into shutdown.
This doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful. Or “too sensitive.”
It just means your nervous system needs a moment to catch up.
So What Can You Do?
There’s no magic fix.
But there is a different way to respond.
The work is in building steady habits and support systems that work for your real life.
The kind that don’t rely on motivation or pressure.
The kind that help you catch yourself before everything tips over.
That’s what I help people do, through coaching that’s grounded, sustainable, and deeply personal.
Not a life overhaul. Not another should.
ust real support, for your real capacity.
